Ridley Rozhodny

As a tiny puppy he had a struggle to survive, so Rozhodny (the word means resolute or determined in Czech) was the ideal name for my special little boy

Sire: Woodstrode Drak of Kohima
Dam: Ridley Obroda
DoB: February 23rd 2009

Luther was a dog who lived life to the full. He was loyal and loving, energetic and enthusiastic. His ever-wagging tail greeted dogs and humans alike. Above all, Luther loved show days.

Sadly, the health issues that had caused problems as a tiny puppy left their mark and I said farewell to my special boy on January 27th 2010

In his short show career, Luther won 9 Best Puppy Awards (he was never beaten by another Cesky Terrier puppy), 1 x Puppy Group 1, 2 x PG2, 1 xPG3 and 2 x PG4 and won the Top Puppy in breed award for 2009.

Some of Luther's show critiques:
City of Birmingham, September 2009
6 month puppy which handled well, rib goes well back and elbows are well tucked in, presented well, good firm body and balanced head. BP
(Judge: Maureen Micklethwaite)

Darlington, September 2009
Head of good length, good front, shoulders OK, looks promising. BP
(Judge: Albert Reading)

Hitchin, September 2009
Raw baby getting it together, excellent head that will grow into his ears, strong movement that does show co-ordination occasionally. In the puppy group he suddenly had an 'I can do it' moment. Shows promise. BP, RBOB & PG2
(Judge: Harold Gay)

South Wales, October 2009
A youngster who was full of himself but superbly behaved, beautiful head and mouth, fine front and super profile, excellent topline, ample muscle for one as young as he is, adequate stifle, thighs filling nicely, moving with distinct drive, he was in charge and he knew it. BP
(Judge: Fred Gadd)
Pleasing balance & construction. Still so young but very promising. Moved & showed soundly. PG3
(Judge: Ann Arch)

Sporting Terrier Association of Yorkshire, November 2009
8 months, dark, happy boy, alert inquisitive eyes, good length of muzzle and good dentistry, well balanced head, good earset. Standing a little high on rear but would expect this to change as he is still not fully grown, as with his coat. Moved true, overall a very promsing youngster. BP
(Judge: Roger Cruden)
This 8 months Cesky appealed for type and was particularly good on the move when settled, good coat and an attractive colour, in super condition, shows promise. BPIS4
(Judge: David Guy)

Lincoln CS, December 2009
Lovely puppy, full of confidence, good head and body for his age, moved and showed very well. BP & PG4
(Judge: Colin Powell)

Ashbourne, December 2009
Well grown pup of true type, clean head, dark eye, well set ears, good in front, lovely topline, well set tail. BP & PG1
(Judge: Stuart Plane)

Nottingham Sherwood Foresters, December 2009
Cracking puppy, lovely head of nice length and strength, well set ears, dark eye, correct bite with good underjaw, pleasing front and shoulder, nice arch of neck to good ribbed body of nice length, pleasing profile with rise over loins, nice bend of stifle, moved so well to BP & PG2
(Judge: Alan Small)
