Eye Testing

Today was very busy as I was running an eye testing clinic at Newark.

Dogs are tested by an experienced opthalmologist for a variety of eye conditions under a scheme run by the BVA/KC/ISDS.



We were lucky to have the services of Professor Peter Bedford, the foremost opthalmology expert in the UK. During the day he screened 72 adult dogs as well as 2 litters of puppies, so we were on the go all day.



Emily and Tomáš had their first eye test now that they are both over 1 year old. Although Cesky Terriers are a healthy breed, and don't normally suffer from eye problems, regular testing is advisable as it can pick up any abnormality and note any deterioration or changes to the eye. Happily they were both proclaimed perfect.
